Dispute Resolution

Our Dispute Resolutions Solicitors advise on a wide variety of Litigation Claims. Whatever the nature of the dispute our Dispute Resolution Solicitors have the expertise to deal with it effectively whether you are bringing a claim or defending one, our Specialist Solicitors at Ward Gethin can offer an accurate assessment of your legal position and rights. Our early involvement can help to resolve matters without the need to issue Court proceedings however, if Court proceedings are necessary, we will pursue them vigorously on your behalf.

Dispute Resolution

Ward Gethin Solicitors have extensive litigation experience of both pursuing and defending legal claims.

We look for opportunities to achieve a swift solution, ideally achieving a satisfactory outcome for you without having to go to trial.

Committed to establishing and attaining your objectives as effectively and cost efficiently as possible the Solicitors can advise on:

Contractual Disputes

Our Solicitors can help resolve and deal with all of your contractual disputes. Whether this is a supplier failing to fulfil their part of the contract or a client refusing to pay for the goods or services, we can advise you as to the course of action which will be most effective for you. Our Solicitors have substantial experience in considering contracts and advising on contracts and the most effective means of enforcement of contracts.

Professional Negligence

If you believe that your professional advisor has provided you with advice which you do believe is incorrect or which falls below the standard that you would be entitled to expect and you have suffered loss as a result of this or you believe that your case has been damaged as a result of your legal advisor’s advice, you may have a claim against them for professional negligence.

Our Solicitors can deal with claims against professional advisors including Solicitors, Accountants, Surveyors and Architects.

Property or Boundary Disputes

Our Solicitors will be able to advise you in relation to any disputes which you may have in relation to your property or the boundaries of your property. Our Solicitors appreciate that boundary disputes are difficult for individuals as of course, no-one wishes to fall out with their neighbours however, often this cannot be avoided. Our Solicitors will deal with your property or boundary dispute on your behalf and advise you in relation to the prospects of succeeding or defending any claim bought against you. Our Solicitors will also advise you about attempting to settling any dispute you may have although, if this is not possible, our Solicitors will vigorously pursue or defend any claim bought against you on your behalf.

Building Disputes

You may have a dispute concerning the building of your property or a dispute concerning work which you have had carried out on your property. You may feel that the work had not been completed as described to you or the builder is attempting to charge you more than was agreed. If you are unsatisfied with the work completed on your behalf, then our Solicitors can act on your behalf in a claim against the builder.

Disputes concerning Wills, Estates and Powers of Attorney

Our Solicitors provide specialist advice in contested Probate claims, Inheritance matters, disputed Wills and disputes concerning Powers of Attorney. We can provide expert advice in respect of contested inheritance if you believe that you have not been adequately provided for by a member of your family. We also deal with disputes over the validity of Wills if you believe that the deceased was put under pressure to sign a Will when they were not capable of doing so or you believe that one of your family was forced to change their Will, then we can help. We also deal with claims for Beneficiaries and children, and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and dispute over Powers of Attorney.

If you are an individual or a business and are owed money by another party, our dispute resolution Solicitors can assist you with attempting to recover the debt on your behalf. We aim to supply cost effective debt recovery solution for you or your business. Where debts arise, we seek to recover all sums due, including costs and interest as quickly and efficiently as possible. It is important to act quickly in debt recovery matters and our Solicitors act on behalf of a number of local businesses in recovering their unpaid invoices.

For all dispute resolution matters, we offer an initial appointment at a fixed fee to offer you initial advice. It may be that you have insurance under a home insurance policy to cover the funding of your claim or you have insurance under your business policy which may be able to cover the cost of us acting on your behalf.
